Methodology
- Internal documents review.
- Interviews with internal stakeholders.
- The maturity score reflects only the expert's opinion based on the client documentation and interview findings.
Diagnose is an expert-led assessment that reviews organizational practices, determines current maturity, and identifies critical improvement areas through evidence-based review and interviews.
Diagnose provides an independent evaluation to identify critical improvement areas, the maturity stage, and action items to address gaps.
Ideal for organizations with established systems, but less mature that are looking to accelerate progress and prepare for a Recognized Assessment.
Diagnose gives decision-makers independent, evidence-based insights that go beyond self-assessment, helping them prioritize the improvements that matter most for maturity growth and future recognition.
Schedule a brief discussion to see if the Diagnose is the right assessment for your organization!

PerforAssess™ Diagnose is an is an expert-led maturity assessment that evaluates selected performance management capabilities based on documented evidence and interviews. It is conducted by GPAU Authorized Assessors or GPAU Accredited Assessors and provides an externally validated maturity level for the capabilities assessed, together with recommendations for improvement.
Learn moreA five-capability PerforAssess™ Diagnose assessment using the Integrated Performance Maturity Model typically takes 4 to 8 weeks. The timeline may vary depending on the assessment scope and the organisation’s ability to provide the required internal documentation and schedule the necessary interviews.
PerforAssess™ Diagnose is an evidence-based assessment, so organisations are required to provide documentation relevant to the capabilities being assessed. Depending on the assessment scope, this may include strategy plans, corporate and department-level scorecards, dashboards, performance reports, policies and procedures, employee performance management documentation, evaluation templates, guides, and internal communication samples.
PerforAssess™ Diagnose assessments are conducted by qualified professionals recognized by the Global Performance Audit Unit to perform maturity assessments. Depending on their qualification level, they may be GPAU Authorized Assessors or GPAU Accredited Assessors.
Learn moreYes. The Global Performance Audit Unit offers assistance to organisations to identify the right maturity model for their needs. Moreover, in the case of the Integrated Performance Maturity Model, the organization can choose to undertake only selected capabilities rather than all five.
Learn moreNo. An organisation’s performance results are not used as assessment criteria. PerforAssess™ Diagnose evaluates the tools, processes, and architecture of the organisation’s performance management system using the GPAU Maturity Models, rather than the extent to which the organisation achieves its performance targets.
Learn moreFollowing a PerforAssess™ Diagnose assessment, the Global Performance Audit Unit provides a report outlining the validated maturity levels, findings by capability, and recommendations for improvement. Organisations can use these findings to address identified gaps and may later undertake a reassessment to evaluate progress. PerforAssess™ Recognized can serve as a subsequent assessment for organisations seeking formal recognition of their maturity level.
Learn moreNo. PerforAssess™ Diagnose provides an externally validated maturity level and recommendations for improvement, but it does not provide formal recognition or maturity certification. Organisations seeking formal recognition and certification can undertake a PerforAssess™ Recognized assessment.
Learn moreAssessment results and reports are treated as confidential documents shared exclusively with the assessed organisation.
