Meet the GPAU team and align on the assessment scope, timeline, required documentation, and key coordination points.

Collect internal documents

The designated liaison person coordinates the collection and submission of documents and supporting evidence for the assessment. Clarifications on submitted files may be requested during this stage.

Conduct interviews

Interviews are conducted with selected internal stakeholders to clarify evidence, explore key topics, and better understand organizational practices.

Evaluate organizational practices

All findings from documents and interviews are used to form an expert opinion and score the organization against the assessment criteria. The GPAU's maturity model frameworks represent the blueprint for the evaluation.

Obtain outputs

Assessment scores, observations, and high-level recommendations are consolidated into a Microsoft Excel-based report and dashboard.

06.

Understand next steps

The assessment conclusions are presented in a formal meeting to the organization. Key findings and improvement action items are discussed to ensure a solid understanding of the current maturity stage and improvement opportunities.

What evidence is required for a PerforAssess™ Diagnose assessment?

PerforAssess™ Diagnose is an evidence-based assessment, so organisations are required to provide documentation relevant to the capabilities being assessed. Depending on the assessment scope, this may include strategy plans, corporate and department-level scorecards, dashboards, performance reports, policies and procedures, employee performance management documentation, evaluation templates, guides, and internal communication samples.

Who conducts the PerforAssess™ Diagnose assessment?

PerforAssess™ Diagnose assessments are conducted by qualified professionals recognized by the Global Performance Audit Unit to perform maturity assessments. Depending on their qualification level, they may be GPAU Authorized Assessors or GPAU Accredited Assessors.

Yes. The Global Performance Audit Unit offers assistance to organisations to identify the right maturity model for their needs. Moreover, in the case of the Integrated Performance Maturity Model, the organization can choose to undertake only selected capabilities rather than all five.

No. An organisation’s performance results are not used as assessment criteria. PerforAssess™ Diagnose evaluates the tools, processes, and architecture of the organisation’s performance management system using the GPAU Maturity Models, rather than the extent to which the organisation achieves its performance targets.
