Alyn Bailey Joins the Performance Excellence Digital Forum 2026

Alyn Bailey, Group Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer at Albawani Holding, will join the Performance Excellence Digital Forum on 9 December 2026 as part of the roundtable The Journey from Maturity Assessment to Performance Excellence.

With more than 20 years of experience in strategy and enterprise transformation, Bailey has worked across consulting and senior corporate leadership roles, supporting organizations through large-scale transformation, restructuring, operational improvement and strategy execution.

At Albawani Holding, his role covers strategy and transformation across a diversified group operating in several of Saudi Arabia’s major growth sectors. His focus is on connecting strategic direction with execution: ensuring that priorities, transformation programs, governance and organizational capabilities work together to deliver measurable results.

This perspective will contribute to a discussion focused on a practical question for organizations undertaking maturity assessments: how can assessment findings be converted into meaningful and sustained improvement?

From assessment to transformation

Albawani has been working with GPAU to assess and strengthen the maturity of its strategy and performance management practices.

The organization’s experience provides the roundtable with a practical example of how maturity assessment can support a wider transformation agenda. The process establishes a structured baseline, identifies areas for improvement and provides management teams with a clearer view of the capabilities required to progress.

The next step is implementation.

This includes translating findings into improvement initiatives, assigning ownership, strengthening governance and ensuring that new practices become part of the way the organization operates rather than remaining separate transformation projects.

For Bailey, this connection between strategy and execution is central to the transformation function. In his own recent commentary, he has emphasized that growth strategy and transformation need to be considered together, particularly because execution can stall when capability, capacity and ownership are addressed only after strategic targets have already been defined. 

Continuing Albawani’s performance excellence journey

Bailey is also returning to the GPAU performance excellence program following his participation in the Performance Excellence Forum & Awards Gala 2025, where he presented on strengthening strategic planning maturity and the journey from vision to execution. 

Albawani’s progress was also recognized during the 2025 program with seven GPAU awards related to strategy planning, performance improvement and transformation. Bailey subsequently described the recognition as reflecting both the maturity of the group’s approach and the progress achieved through its ongoing transformation journey.

At the 2026 Digital Forum, the discussion moves further along that journey.

Together with Baddreddin Alharithy, Strategy & Transformation Director at Albawani Holding, and moderator Doina Popovici, Head of Assessments & Accreditation Services at GPAU, Bailey will contribute to the roundtable The Journey from Maturity Assessment to Performance Excellence.

The session will examine:

• the role of strategy and performance management maturity models in supporting organizational transformation;
• how assessment findings can be converted into improvement initiatives; and
• how organizations can strengthen a culture of performance excellence.
